Tripura Shines At National Conclave, Bags Multiple Awards For Tribal Development 2025

Tripura Shines At National

Tripura shines at National Conclave 2025 with multiple national awards, demonstrating exceptional tribal development and inclusive growth initiatives.

Tripura has earned immense pride for the Northeast by achieving a significant milestone in tribal development, securing multiple national awards at the National Conclave on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Organised by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs under the visionary Viksit Bharat initiative, the event was attended by President Droupadi Murmu, Union Minister Jual Oram, and Minister of State Durgadas Uikey on October 17, 2025.

The state received two prestigious national awards for being the best performing in implementing PM-JANMAN and Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJA). These awards were presented to Dr. K. Sasikumar, Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department, by the President. Further, North Tripura District was declared the best performing district under PM-JANMAN, while Gomati, Unakoti, and Dhalai districts received national acclaim for their stellar efforts under these flagship programs.

Tripura’s achievements represent exemplary progress in grassroots tribal development: over 15,584 houses built under PM-JANMAN, 141 new Anganwadi Centres made operational, 38,014 tribal households provided with tap water, and nearly 12,743 homes electrified with grid and solar power. The state has also established critical infrastructure like mobile towers, multipurpose centres, Van Dhan Vikas Kendras, and rural roads.

The Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan campaign, launched in June 2025, has successfully conducted more than 4,000 saturation camps reaching over 12.7 lakh tribal people, facilitating essential services including identity documentation, financial inclusion, and health benefits. The Chief Minister’s focus on district-level accountability has ensured efficient implementation.

The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, guided by values of Sewa, Samarpan, and Sankalp, has redefined tribal governance by enabling 392 tribal villages to forge their own development plans, fostering a new era of citizen-led collaborative development.

Tripura’s national recognition at the conclave is a testament to the visionary leadership and dedication of government officials and field officers, positioning the state as a national model for inclusive and transformative tribal development. This accolade not only celebrates past success but fuels Tripura’s determination towards dignity, inclusion, and prosperity for every tribal citizen.

This narrative reflects Tripura’s inspiring journey of empowerment and progress in tribal welfare, rooted in strong governance and community cooperation.
