Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma made his maiden visit to the picturesque Ziro Valley on Friday, where he received a warm welcome at Ziro Valley Resort by MLA Hage Appa, Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme, Superintendent of Police Keni Bagra, heads of departments, PRI members, and district officials.
Accompanied by Gabriel D. Wangsu, Minister of Agriculture & Allied, Arunachal Pradesh, and Guardian Minister of Lower Subansiri District, the Mizoram CM toured several sites of ecological and tourism importance.
His itinerary included the Integrated Aquapark at Tarin, the Kiwi Garden at Biiri, and the scenic Seeh and Seke Lakes. At the Kiwi Garden, SDHO Tasso Yallu briefed him on kiwi cultivation practices, market prospects, and future growth potential in agri-entrepreneurship.
Later, the Chief Minister visited the Naar-Aaba Winery at Hong village, where he interacted with founder Tage Rita, lauding her pioneering efforts in placing Arunachal’s kiwi wine on the global stage and inspiring local farmers toward value-added agriculture.
The visit underscored interstate goodwill and collaboration, as Pu Lalduhoma explored avenues for sustainable development, eco-tourism promotion, and rural livelihood generation across the Northeast.
Among others present were Hage Tari, Secretary (Animal Husbandry, Veterinary & Fisheries, IOFS), and DAO Tasso Butung, who accompanied the dignitaries during the day-long tour.
