CCTV Footage and Witness Statements Key to Unraveling Mystery Behind Jaipur School Student Death

A tragic incident unfolded in Rajasthan’s Jaipur on Saturday morning when a 12-year-old girl, studying in Class 6, died after allegedly falling from the fourth floor of a private school building, police officials confirmed.

According to Mansarovar Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Aditya Kakade, the police are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to the school authorities to establish the sequence of events. “At this stage, we cannot say for certain whether it was a case of suicide or an accident. The footage shows the student climbing onto the fourth-floor balcony railing before falling,” Kakade said.

The girl was reportedly found on the ground floor by school staff after they heard her screams. “No one actually saw her fall. When the staff reached the spot, they found her severely injured, possibly from a fatal head injury caused by the impact,” the officer added.

The body has been sent for postmortem, and further investigation is underway to ascertain how the incident occurred. The police have not ruled out any possibility, and the circumstances surrounding the Jaipur school student death continue to be probed.
