Indian Army Conducts Tri-Service Integrated Multi-Domain Exercise in Arunachal Pradesh

The Indian Army successfully conducted Ex Prachand Prahaar, a Tri-Service Integrated Multi-Domain Warfare Exercise, in the high-altitude terrain of Arunachal Pradesh, demonstrating seamless coordination between the Army, Air Force, and other elements of the Indian Armed Forces.

Held from March 25 to 27, 2025, under the aegis of the Eastern Command, the exercise simulated future battlefield scenarios, integrating advanced surveillance systems, strike capabilities, and multi-domain operational planning.

The drill deployed cutting-edge platforms including long-range reconnaissance aircraft, armed helicopters, UAVs, loitering munitions, swarm drones, kamikaze drones, and space-based assets, achieving full situational awareness and precise target engagement. Coordinated strikes were executed against simulated enemy positions using fighter aircraft, long-range rockets, medium artillery, and armed helicopters. The operation was conducted in an electronically contested environment, reflecting modern battlefield challenges posed by electronic warfare.

The exercise was reviewed by Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari, GOC-in-C of Eastern Command, and Air Marshal Surat Singh, AOC-in-C of Eastern Air Command, who commended the troops for their professionalism and operational excellence.

Building on Exercise Poorvi Prahar conducted in November 2024, Ex Prachand Prahaar validated the full integration of surveillance, command and control, and precision firepower across all three services, highlighting India’s growing emphasis on jointness and advanced technology integration.

Officials said the success of the exercise underscores the Indian Armed Forces’ readiness to handle multi-domain threats across land, air, sea, space, and cyber domains, reinforcing India’s strategic posture in the Eastern Theatre.
