A shocking incident unfolded in Guwahati after a young man was found dead inside salon, prompting police to launch an investigation into the cause of death.

A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a salon in Guwahati’s Christian Basti area today.

The deceased has been identified as Mukesh Thakur, a resident of Mangaldoi.

He was employed at the Head Zone Hair and Beauty Salon in Christian Basti.

Thakur’s body was found by his co-worker when she opened the salon this morning.

She immediately informed the owner and the police, following which the body was recovered.

What has raised suspicion is that, although the incident initially appeared to be a case of suicide, the salon’s CCTV camera, which usually functions properly, was found to have been switched off since Thursday.

Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of death.
