BIHAR ELECTION : 14000 VOTERS AGED 100 YEARS

Bihar has about 14,000 voters who are 100 years of age or older, according to data made public by the Election Commission. However, following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the number of voters in the “very senior citizens” category—those who are 85 years of age and older—has drastically decreased.Following the revision, there were 3.49 crore female voters, down from 3.72 crore on January 1. In the meantime, there were 3.92 crore male voters, down from 4.07 crore. Additionally, the number of voters registered under the third gender category decreased from 2,104 to 1,725. Using the rolls released on September 30 following the SIR, elections for Bihar’s 243-member assembly are scheduled for two phases on November 6 and 11.
