Bengaluru Party Goes into Panic as Woman Falls from 4th Floor Balcony Following a Visit by the Police

Bengaluru accident

Late night partying in Bengaluru’s Brookefield culminated in a chaotic event where a 21-year-old woman lost her balance from a fourth-floor hotel balcony in a state of panic after police arrived in response to a noise complaint.

“This is a tragic event, and our first thoughts are with all of the people affected,” Rod Marshyama, a senior communications officer with Reuters in Asia, told IPS in an e-mail message from Japan. “As a news agency, Reuters takes a special interest in all kinds of tragic events because they all have a direct impact on our business and our operations.”

A Reuters journalist in Indore reported an eyewitness account of an explosion in a car park below where people were gathered in a

Things took a different turn when agitated locals, tired of the music, called the 112 emergency number. The police were called to the lodge, where they gave a warning and asked them to keep it down because they were disturbing the whole neighborhood.

What ensued, however, left far more questions than answers. It did not take long before the police arrived when the woman allegedly panicked and attempted an escape from her fourth-floor balcony, taking a drainpipe over a staircase in a move straight out of a film. The end result? She lost her balance , injured herself.

Her friends rushed her to a hospital, where she is currently in critical condition, according to doctors.

In another twist in this case, reports have emerged of demands for money by police officers present in the lodge where these five men were. As stated by authorities, these allegations have not yet been proven and will be investigated.

A case has been registered by the police against the owner of the lodge based on a complaint lodged by the father, which alleges negligence on the part of the hotel management with respect to safety measures at the balcony.

The family is demanding an investigation, including interrogation of the woman’s friends, hotel staff, and police officers who were called to respond to a noise complaint.

As investigations continue, this incident shows just how quickly a late night party, a police visit, and a moment of panic can escalate into a life-threatening ordeal in a matter of minutes in this city.
