Rashmika Mandanna on Motherhood: Actress Reveals Her Dreams of Raising Children and Balancing Career with Family Life
Rashmika Mandanna Talks About Future, Motherhood, and Work-Life Balance
After captivating audiences with her onscreen chemistry with Vijay Deverakonda in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019), fans long hoped their reel-life romance would turn real. For years, both actors denied any relationship rumours, but much to fans’ delight, Vijay’s team recently confirmed their engagement, putting months of speculation to rest.
Now, as Rashmika continues her promotional tour for her upcoming film The Girlfriend, the actor has opened up about her thoughts on motherhood and how she envisions her future beyond films.
In a recent conversation with Gulte, director Rahul Ravindran spoke about his children, which led Rashmika to share her own feelings. “I’m not even a mother, but I already feel… I know I’m gonna have kids, and I love that that’s going to happen,” she said warmly. “I already feel something so strongly for these little humans that are not even born yet. I want to do everything for them — keep them safe, protected. And if I have to go to war for them, I’ll be fit enough to do it.”
Reflecting on her personal and professional journey, Rashmika shared how she has a clear roadmap for different phases of her life. “I always had in mind that twenty to thirty is the time to put your head down and keep working, because that’s what society tells us — to make a living, to earn our own money,” she explained. “I knew that thirty to forty was going to be about work-life balance, and I have to make sure that happens. Beyond forty, I haven’t thought that far yet.”
Currently, Rashmika is all set to charm audiences once again in The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran, where she takes on a powerful and emotional role. With her career soaring and her personal life blossoming, fans are eager to see what the future holds for the newly engaged star.
