AGP ministers and members come together in Guwahati to honour Zubeen Garg through the emotional screening of Roi Roi Binale, celebrating the music legend’s final cinematic masterpiece and his timeless impact on Assam’s culture.
In a touching display that transcended political lines, ministers, MLAs, and party workers of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) came together at Narengi Gold Cinema Hall in Guwahati on October 31 to watch the second screening of Roi Roi Binale — Zubeen Garg’s final cinematic creation.
The party had reserved 218 seats for the 11 a.m. show, which became an emotional gathering dedicated to the beloved music icon whose art continues to inspire millions. Fans began arriving as early as 8 a.m., filling the theatre with nostalgia, reverence, and admiration for Zubeen Da.
Among the attendees were AGP ministers Atul Bora and Keshab Mahanta, along with several senior party leaders, who watched the film alongside the public. “Today is not about politics,” one AGP member said. “It’s about celebrating Zubeen Da — the voice of Assam.”
Across the state, Roi Roi Binale has become more than a film — it is a collective farewell, a heartfelt celebration of Zubeen Garg’s artistic spirit and lasting legacy.
A day earlier, on October 30, Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika, during his visit to Gohpur, urged the people of Assam to watch Roi Roi Binale, describing Zubeen Garg as one of the most influential figures in the state’s cultural landscape over the past three decades. Hazarika also mentioned that he, too, would soon watch the much-awaited film.
