Zubeen Garg’s Viscera Report

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing Zubeen Garg’s death has sent the singer’s viscera sample to GMCH for detailed forensic examination, confirmed SIT head Munna Prasad Gupta.

The viscera report of late singer c has been sent to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) today after the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), New Delhi submitted the report to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that is investigating the legendary singer’s death in Singapore on September 19, SIT Head Munna Prasad Gupta said.

“We have sent the viscera report to GMCH. The expert committee of doctors set up for Zubeen Garg’s postmortem will now include the findings of the viscera report in the final postmortem report. We will submit the final postmortem report to the court,” Special DGP, CID, Gupta said briefing the media at the CID office in Guwahati today.

He further said that as per law, copies of the postmortem report which will have details of the viscera report, will be handed over to Zubeen Garg’s family. One copy will be given by hand and another copy will be sent by registered post.

The viscera samples of Zubeen Garg who died in the Lazarus Island in Singapore while swimming, was sent to the CFSL on September 25 for toxicology analysis.

Two postmortems have been done to ascertain the cause of Zubeen’s death, one of Assam’s most loved singers. The first one was done by Singapore Police and the second postmortem was done at the GMCH on September 23 just hours before his funeral.
