MLA T Robindro Singh says party legislators / BJP MLA are united and committed to restoring stability and public trust in Manipur’s governance.
BJP MLA T. Robindro Singh from Thanga Assembly Constituency of Manipur said that party legislators from the state, who met in Delhi on October 7, have prepared a roadmap to approach the central leadership for the formation of a popular government in the state.
Speaking to media after returning to Manipur, Robindro said that the group of BJP MLAs will meet the party’s North East in-charge Dr. Sambit Patra today to brief him about their discussions.
“We made a roadmap on how to go ahead with the central leaders to form the government,” he said.
He added that the legislators also hope to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah as well during their visit.
“We will be approaching the central leaders, and I believe they will listen to us as we are representatives of our people. Whether they allow us to form the government or not, that’s up to them. As MLAs of the BJP, it is our responsibility to brief the central leaders on our problems. We will also approach PM Modi, seek an appointment, but whether he will give us an appointment or not is up to him. But we are hopeful that central leaders will do something for us,” Robindro stated.
He further emphasised the need for dialogue and unity among leaders to restore peace in the state.
“Many unwanted elements have been arrested. To bring peace among communities, leaders must engage in dialogue and negotiations. All BJP MLAs from Manipur want to have a popular government, but for that, we have to stay united and work together. As representatives of the people, it is our responsibility to ensure harmony among all,” he added.
Meanwhile, T. Robindro downplayed the earlier statement by MLA Th. Shyamkumar, who had said that if central leaders do not entertain the BJP MLAs then they will be forced to resign.
He said, “What he said is not our collective opinion; it may be his opinion.”
