The Assam Rifles seized drugs worth Rs 68.41 crore and arrested three people in two separate operations in Mizoram, officials said on Friday.
In the first operation at Bualpui village, Siaha district, personnel recovered 225 grams of heroin, valued at Rs 1.75 crore, and arrested two individuals on Wednesday following a tip-off.
In a second operation on Thursday along the Zokhawthar-Melbuk Road, Champhai district, forces seized 20 packets of methamphetamine tablets weighing 22.2 kg, worth Rs 66.66 crore. One person was apprehended in connection with this seizure.
The confiscated drugs have been handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department for legal proceedings, the Assam Rifles said.
